Bike sharing with Blue-bike
Blue-bikes are shared bicycles you can rent at more than 120 locations in Belgium. In Genk, Blue-bikes are located at the station's secure bike park. After use, you return the bike to the departure point.
How?
Become a member of Blue-bike
To use the Blue-bikes, you must first become a member. You can register online at www.blue-bike.be. Your Blue-bike card with which you can borrow bikes will be sent as soon as your payment is received.
Borrow your bike
Leave the station via the main entrance and turn left. A blue Blue-bike key machine (24/24) is located at the secure bicycle shed. Here you can borrow a bike with your membership card or a voucher.
Return the bicycle
Return the bike within 24 hours to the same location where you took it. Return it in the same way you borrowed it. If you keep the Blue-bike for longer than 24 hours, you will pay a surcharge.
What does it cost?
A Blue-bike membership costs 12 euros annually.
Thanks to an intervention by the city, in Genk you pay only 2.50 euros for a borrowing of up to 24 hours.
You can find all rates on the Blue-bike website.
