Genk also has two all-year mountain biking trails.
- The smaller 16 km circuit (green route) is located in and around the Kattevennen recreational area.
- The larger 43 km circuit (red route) connects a number of Genk’s woodlands including Kattevennen, Heibos, Zillebos, Melberg, Zonhoverheide, Sportbos and Horensberg.
There are two starting points:
- At the Kattevennen car park (Planetariumweg 19) for both routes.
- At the SportinGenk Park (Emiel Van Dorenlaan 144) for the main route.
You will find an information board at each of these starting points.
The Genk mountain bike routes are part of the MTB network Midden Limburg (135 km). There is also a connection to the Hoge Kempen Mountain Bike Network (183 km) of the Hoge Kempen National Park.
